The jolly polly is a terrestrial isopod that inhabits the soil of Novaedus. Much like some insects, this crustacean has evolved to mimic eyes that scare off predators. When ingested, it is typically poisonous—however, this poison is not enough to make someone extremely ill. The poison may cause mood changes, especially inappropriate euphoria, for a few hours up to a few days.
