Candy looked at the mysterious figure's outstretched hand. She was half listening when the offer was first proposed, leading her to rock back and forth on her heels as she tried to piece together the fragmented clues from their conversation. Yes, she was fascinated by the whole ordeal but that led to her mind wandering while the clauses were initially read out. She couldn't exactly just.. ask them to repeat themselves, that would make it far too obvious that she hadn't even really listened.

She knew some of it at least. Some 'magical abilities' and whatnot to help her out when it came to trickery. Anything she could think of wanting to do, she would be able to do it. All she had to do in return was.. and that was where she had utterly zoned out. Where she had already been fanaticizing anything and everything she could do with that sort of unlimited power, she had failed to listen to the most important part.

Whatever the catch was.

"Your answer?"

The words cut through Candy's thoughts like a knife, snapping her right back into the moment. Right, she actually needed an answer. She looked both ways before innocently pointing at herself, as if she was questioning if she was the one being spoken to.

She was. she was the only person in the room. The room itself was empty as well, if you could even call it a room actually. It was more so like being out in space, standing in a clear glass box where you couldn't see the walls, floor or ceiling, giving off the illusion of being among the stars.

"How about a test run? I get to try them out for a day and we meet back up when I fall asleep again? I'll answer then!~"

Candy didn't actually expect the disgruntled entity to agree but when it rolled its eyes and put emphasis on its still outstretched hand, she knew it was ready to just get on with it. After all, she did just waste several minutes of its time that were far better spent making proper deals and not just hypotheticals with someone who couldn't even spare the effort of listening and answering promptly.

When hands met to shake, a brilliant light emanated from the creature as it phased into Candy, leading her to jolt awake. With a mischievous grin (in her mind of course, given the lack of a mouth), she got to work. With a snap of her fingers, she was dressed. With a clack of her heel, she was out the door and in the park.

Candy planted herself on one of the wooden benches that littered themselves around the park. The usual squeaking and creaking of the old wood was silenced the instant she mentally complained about it. Candy repositioned herself so she could pull her feet up onto the bench. She rest her head on her hands and looked around for which of the usual parkgoers could be an amusing mark.

The two star loving roommates would hardly give an interesting reaction. That one there was too entertained with bugs.. They're busy stitching up a plush toy of some sort of.. animal? That could be fun. In a matter of seconds, the cat toy had come to life, purring and rubbing up against the leg of the person who was previously mending it. Well, that had just cheered them up.

With an exaggerated sigh, Candy hopped off of the bench and allowed herself to turn invisible, a specter among people. When she drew closer, the cat perked its head up, leading Candy to flatten herself against a nearby tree, almost melding with the bark as it approached where it might've just seen her.

Why was she hiding? She could just turn it back into a doll.

With that sorted, Candy returned to the third dimension; still invisible of course, and explored the park (tripping some unsuspecting parkgoers on the way, as one does.) Seeing some people enjoying a picnic, Candy approached and silently knelt on the gingham blanket, between two members of the group. She enjoyed the peace for a minute, everyone was having a great time. It was sunny, there were snacks, some music and great company. It would be nice to have friends like-

Over it!

Candy watched as one of her marks bit into a chocolate chip cookie, only to look down with utter confusion. Raisins? They took another bite. Chocolate chip. With a third, gingerly nibble they dropped the cookie on the picnic blanket to the bewilderment of their friends, unbothered by their own snacks.

That was amusing, Candy thought as she stood up and brushed her dress off. With a few hours until it turned dark, Candy entertained herself, visiting far off places, mild vandalism with googly eyes in some museums and one last walk around until deciding that was enough for one day.

Stretching, and falling back, Candy imagined her bed. Landing on the plush mattress, she sprawled herself out; almost like a starfish. It was only a... matter of time before she... fell asleep... Right on cue, Candy was face to face with the same creature as the night before. It was clearly expecting an answer.

Was she going to accept that deal or not? The power to do whatever she wanted in return for.. Wait a minute.

Candy smiled to herself (once again, lacking a mouth of which she shockingly chose not to create) and held out her hand. With a shake of two hands, there was no brilliant white light, to the creature's bewilderment and Candy's expectations. What on earth had she done?

Demanding answers, the creature loomed over Candy. What she had done was actually rather simple; funny even. She had the power to do whatever she wanted, right? All she had to do, was decide to keep those powers without any of the strings attached. No ominous deals, no takebacks. The power was all hers and there was nothing that could be done. Of course, she wasn't going to cause chaos with it, just some minor inconveniences.
